Select a person from available footage and search for matching observations. When VIGIL cannot establish that two observations belong to the same person, it says so — unknown is better than a confident wrong answer.

Organize vehicle observations by time, camera, location, and available visual attributes across connected footage.

“Show activity around this location during this time window” — start from the moment, not the camera list.
06 / Ask VIGIL
Ask questions in plain language, grounded in actual video evidence — with the footage that cannot support a conclusion said plainly.
Start from an observation and follow the available path through surveillance footage. When evidence between cameras is missing or uncertain, VIGIL shows the gap rather than inventing a continuous path.

A person observed near a vehicle does not by itself establish ownership, criminal activity, or intent. Operators open the underlying footage, review context, and decide what belongs in the investigation.
Video clips, snapshots, timestamps, camera information, notes, and timeline entries stay connected to the investigation instead of disappearing into hours of footage.
Authorized users collect relevant evidence into a package — selected clips, snapshots, camera names, timestamps, timeline, and notes.
